Bikaner House, designed by Sir
Swinton Jacob in 1894 for the Minor Maharajah Ganga Singh of Bikaner,
served as the summer resort of the Princely State of Bikaner.
It
was converted into a full-fledged hotel in 1962. It is one of the largest
hotels in Mt. Abu in early days, this palace was the venue for several
stately dinners and parties and a centre for activities in the elite
social circuit of Mt. Abu .
The facilities available here
include two tennis courts, badminton, table tennis and billiards, ample
space for walks and relaxing in the well-maintained gardens. It is a
convenient to make a visit to the famous Dilwara temple, a short distance
away.
The palace has a conference hall and two dining halls and
its rooms are done in period decor and elegantly furnished.
